Webinar Raise Hand

Raise Hand feature,allows attendees to indicate that they want to speak.Since participants are muted in Webinars, a participant who wants their microphone to be turned on can use this feature.

Requirements

To Raise Hand as a participant:

  • Zoom Mac or PC application version 3.5.24604.0824 or higher
  • Zoom Linux desktop application version 1.1.44485.0317 or higher
  • Zoom iOS mobile application version 3.5.31169.1102 or higher
  • Zoom Android mobile application version 3.5.24588.0824 or higher
  • Participating in the Zoom meeting via Browser

To manage participants who haven risen their hands:

  • Webinar membership or participating as a panelist
  • Zoom Mac or PC application version 3.5.24604.0824 or higher
  • Zoom Linux desktop application version 1.1.44485.0317 or higher
  • Zoom iOS mobile application version 3.5.31169.1102 or higher
  • Zoom Android mobile application version 3.5.24588.0824 or higher

Raise Hand

Windows or Mac


1- Click the Raise Hand button in the webinar controls.

2- The host receives a notification that you raised a hand. If the host lets you speak, you can turn your microphone on. When your microphone is turned on, your profile photo and name can be seen by the host and panelists. But the participants only can see your name and hear your voice.

3- Press the Lower Hand button to lower your hand.This does not cause your microphone to be muted.

Keyboard Shortcuts

  • Windows: You can raise / lower your hand with the Alt+Y keyboard shortcut.
  • Mac: You can raise / lower your hand with the Option+Y keyboard shortcut.


Linux


1- Click the Raise Hand button in the webinar controls.

If you are participating in the Webinar by phone call, you can Raise your Hand by dialing * 9.

Warning: It is not possible to lower your hand if you are participating in the Webinar by phone call.
